DiscountSplit only collects what it needs to match you with other users, move money safely and keep the service secure. We never see or store your full card number, and we never sell your personal data.

1. Who we are

DiscountSplit is a mobile app and website operated by Scepterix SMC-Private (Limited), a company registered in Pakistan ("Scepterix", "we", "us"). Our registered office is at 780 Street 23, Block D, Top City-1, Islamabad, Pakistan.

DiscountSplit lets a person who does not hold a particular bank card (the requester) benefit from that card's discount at a merchant, with the help of a nearby user who does hold it (the card owner). The saving is shared between the requester, the card owner and DiscountSplit.

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the DiscountSplit app or website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. For questions, contact us at hello@scepterix.com or +92 312 5646537.

2. What we collect

3. How we use your data

To provide the service: create requests, match requesters with card owners, calculate splits, run escrow payments, release payouts and process refunds.
To keep users safe: verify accounts, detect and prevent fraud, investigate fake receipts and resolve disputes.
To communicate with you: request updates, payment and refund notices, security alerts and support replies.
To meet legal duties: keep financial and transaction records and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
To improve DiscountSplit: understand how features are used and fix problems. Where possible we use aggregated data that does not identify you.
To send offers or news, only where you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.

4. What other users can see

When you take part in a request, the other user sees only what they need to complete it:

Your first name or display name, profile photo, rating and level.
The merchant, bill amount, discount, the cards accepted and the split amounts.
Your approximate distance from the request, not your exact location.
Receipts and chat messages for that request.

Other users never see your phone number, PIN, payout details or full card number.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Licensed payment partners that process card and wallet payments, hold escrow funds, send payouts and process refunds.
Service providers that run parts of our service for us, such as cloud hosting, maps and location services, push notifications, SMS delivery and crash reporting. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
Partner merchants, for cash payments at a partner restaurant: the amount due and a reference for your request.
Authorities, where Pakistani law requires it, or to protect users and prevent fraud or crime.
A buyer or successor, if Scepterix's business is reorganised or sold. This policy would continue to apply to your data.

6. How long we keep it

Account data: while your account is open.
Transaction, payment and refund records: for as long as Pakistani financial, tax and anti-fraud rules require, even after you close your account.
Receipts, chat and dispute evidence: for the life of the request and any dispute, then for as long as needed for record-keeping and fraud prevention.
Location: used live to find matches; we do not keep a history of your movements.

7. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to staff who need it, and your PIN is never stored in readable form. Payments are handled by licensed payment partners that meet card-industry security standards. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your PIN private and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.

8. Your choices and rights

See and correct your profile, cards and payout details in the app at any time.
Location: you can turn off location access in your phone settings. Some features, such as nearby requests, will not work without it.
Notifications and marketing: you can turn these off in the app or phone settings.
Copy or delete: email hello@scepterix.com from your registered details to ask for a copy of your data or to close your account and delete it. We will reply within 7 working days. We keep only the records the law requires us to keep.

9. Age limit

DiscountSplit is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as DiscountSplit changes. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app if the changes are significant.
